I am graduated architect in MSc Architecture (Arch. Design and Arch. Engineering) by the University of Granada (Spain) and also, I studied in the Politecnico di Milano (Italy) for a year thanks to an Erasmus scholarship. Recently, due to my interest in the use of BIM methodology, I graduated as BIM Manager (MSc BIM Management) by the University of Madrid.I consider myself a sustainability-conscious designer who tries to preserve the environment through the architecture and also, I think that the key to create an architecture which contributes and belongs to society is to understand the clients, their ideas and necessities. Currently I have a role as Architect and BIM Manager at Gamma Architects, and I also have international experience having wordked for over 5 years in London and Birmingham. Thanks to my experience, I have worked and contributed in RIBA stages 1-7, leading a wide variety of projects, such as residential, student accommodation, and education. During the past few years I have been mainly focused on the residential sector, running and leading exciting projects such as the Athletes Village in Birmingham Thanks to this project runner role, I have worked closely with a wide variety of clients such as Birmingham City Council and private investors, with whom I have built professional relationships. I would say that one of the keys to my professional growth is the use of BIM and all the potential that it can offer, providing an extra level of coordination with the design team and optimising the whole process of delivering a project. Having worked with public clients such as Birmingham City Council has strengthen and developed my knowledge of BIM Level 2, which alongside my BIM Management degree, have allowed me to become BIM Manager of my current practice.
