Javier Megias is a seasoned entrepreneur and executive with over 20 years in the startup/VC & corporate space, with deep experience in business management, startups/VC and operational excellence. His career has spanned from leading complex operations and projects in both large corporations and startups across high-demand industries like financial, defense & aerospace, and IT. Javier has a track record of managing companies, enhancing organizational processes and implementing strategic tools such as OKRs to align company operations with its vision. He has managed teams ranging from small squads to departments of 80+ people and has served on boards of companies and funds. Currently, Javier also acts as an independent board member on both more traditional companies as well as tech transfer investment vehicles.At one point, Javier pivoted to the venture capital space, first investing as an angel investor & through syndicates, then managing Bankinter's VC program and finally taking on the role of Managing Partner for the EMEA funds at Plug and Play to support the firm's European expansion. Recently, Javier has returned to the startup arena, now as the Director of Europe & COO of Frenetic, where he leverages his management experience to streamline company processes and execute its vision, a task aligned with unwavering belief in technology's power to drive change.
