After working at Airtable, I took some time off to rehab an injury and pursue a personal interest in video game development. I used the time to take several classes, prototype some games, and plug myself into local video game development groups.Working on video game development allowed me to keep my technical skills sharp, learn new programming paradigms, and train my creative muscles by taking on new areas like writing and art.

Trail Titans is the Street View of mountain climbing. We capture 360° trail views of the world's highest mountains and create an interactive climbing experience for desktop and mobile. We give hikers, climbers, and even couch potatoes the ability to climb every step of the trail.

Analyzed years of social media data with R to identify meaningful social media metrics. Designed MySQL databases using warehousing techniques and Java-based APIs for publishing analytics that allowed a user to compare his or her social media performance by time or network. Created idempotent backend system for maintaining current and active customer statistics. Managed integrations to APIs for Facebook, Twitter, and Google+. Significantly refactored interface to Twitter resulting in considerable reduction of downtime and developer pager alerts.

Implemented and launched a web-based tool to automate creation of new partnership widgets. Prototyped a per-hotel FAQ page that became a production feature. Participated in full-stack development using Apache Tomcat, Java, Velocity, MooTools, and Python among other technologies.

Worked for the Ingestion team, which is responsible for uploading and processing of new video and audio assets into the Video Cloud system. Prototyped a next-generation web UI displaying live video processing progress for the Brightcove Play conference. Mined and analyzed data from remote Mongo database servers using Python scripts. Implemented an intelligent template-based system in Java for upload job creation using the FreeMarker template engine. Integrated Ingestion system data into Javascript-driven admin UI pages through the creation and use of web-based, RESTful APIs. Presented completed template project at a company-wide event.

Worked on the Email Core team. Designed and implemented new features for Blackberry email application. Maintained and debugged existing features. Prototyped service protocol for next-generation email application. Worked extensively on string pattern recognition algorithms.
