Efforts produced a record attendance for SFNM's Legislative Day. Community outreach work focused in Bernalillo, Río Arriba, Doña Ana, and McKinley counties with emphasis on communities of color and the LGBTQ community. Assisted with organizational marketing efforts through community involvement, presentations, volunteer activities, statewide travel, and connecting stakeholders with network of partner organizations. Launched digital organizing programs in New Mexico in coordination with Forward Together’s digital organizing team. Work included piloting and evaluating new strategies to build and strengthen the online base of members. Digital organizing resulted in 200% increase in social media subscriptions and an increase in organization database subscribers. The HR program also provides Narcan trainings once a month as well as HIV Testing. HR employees two people one full time and one part time. Adventure Out and N’MPower both serve gay, bisexual, transgender and questioning men and are non-traditional HIV prevention programs. Adventure Out uses experiential education to build resiliency skills and empower the GBTQ communities around the entire state of New Mexico to make safer and healthier decisions when it comes to sex. I coordinate, facilitate, outreach and am the full time staff of this program. The N’MPower program based in Albuquerque focuses on providing a safe environment for the mentoring and peer mentoring of gay/bi/transgender young adults while educating about personal sexual health and safety. N’MPower now offers HIV testing once a month I co-coordinate the testing program at N’MPower. N’MPower employs one full time staff and has an Americorps volunteer.
