There are many projects progressing simultaneously and I get the chance to make significant contributions to many of them.The problems are related to the infrastructure of the internet and working on this subjects has been great fun and challenging because of the scale of the problem and the copious number of agents involved.

For personal reasons I decided to put away the computer a bit and work at the family business.It was a great experience where I learned about many of the aspects of running a business.While focussed mainly on sales, I also learned a bit about imports, SEO, B2B, B2C and about what it takes to do business in Argentina.Being a family business, it was also enlightening how a typical Argentinian company operates and how different the mindset is from American companies.I believe my greatest accomplishment was bringing this 84 years old company to e-commerce.All in all, an unforgettable experience.

Starmount had a very interesting vision which I found fascinating and was thrilled to be part of the team realizing it.Another remarkable thing was the density of excellent developers that they could achieve. I've not seen that often.I was fortunate to be part of this excellent team and, as a bonus, the architect chose bleeding edge technologies for almost everything in the project! There were, of course some rough edges (since the tech was not fully mature), but it was an almost unique opportunity to assemble a system using those tools with that group of people!A fantastic experience!

Apexar is a small company that develops medical equipment.In my time there, I developed two web applications and put together a custom Linux distribution.The first app was an administration system for logistics companies which was partly operated from mobile phones. It was developed in 5 months using Java+Tomcat+Hibernate+PostgreSQL, WAP+JSP for the phones and JSF for the back office.The second app was an AJAX dashboard for monitoring vital parameters provided by the company's wireless pulse oximeters. It was developed in a month using Java+Javascript+Dojo+Restlets+Hibernate+PostgreSQL.The Linux distribution was assembled for two platforms, AT91RM9200-EK and ATSTK1000. A driver was written for the kernel and an X server was patched to work in an embedded environment.

Hexacta is a consulting and systems development company which achieved CMM4.In my time there I helped develop two web applications.The first one was to manage suppliers for Exiros (mayor Techint company). It was developed in 6 months using ASP.NET+C#+Oracle 9i.The second one was for managing vouchers for Sodexho Pass. This was a very big project which was finished after three years but I only participated for one year. The technologies used were JSP+Tiles+Java+J2EE+Toplink+Oracle 9i.
