As a Process Engineer, I contributed to successful execution of water and wastewater treatment projects, performing activities like:- Determine process conditions and equipment specifications required to fulfill the process objectives.- Generate process diagrams (BFD, PFD, P&ID) and process engineering documentation.- Interact with professionals in other engineering disciplines, such as mechanical, electrical, civil, and automation, to ensure successful integration.- Facilitate the adaptation of proprietary technology, such as anaerobic and MBR WWT, to local conditions through effective communication with the suppliers and thorough understanding of the process.- Contributed to the design and realization of the WWTP for Colombia’s integrated steelworks. The execution of this project contributed to the improvement of teaching and research capabilities of the Process Engineering Department through the revamping of its pilot scale Batch Reaction System (BRS).The performance of the BRS was improved by designing and implementing a new control system. Temperature control was significantly upgraded by implementing an explicit model-based predictive controller.Accessibility of the BRS was enhanced by collection, revision and update of its technical documentation.
