- Robust Deep Learning with UBC IDSL. Created new architectures and algorithms that make Neural Network classifiers robust against adversarial examples in Computer Vision.- Adaptive Model Predictive Control (MPC) with Deep Learning with UBC DAIS Lab. Created control methods that can adapt to varying parameters due to unmodelled or unknown changes in the environment, i.e. control methods that do not need to be retrained after deployment.- Aptamer Protein Interaction with Machine Learning with UBC IDSL. Created models that can assess how well an aptamer-protein pair bind together. Developed methods to generate new aptamer sequences for a given protein.

Team Manager and Machine Learning Lead of AC2O, group of undergraduate students that won CAN-SBX with a proposal to measure cosmic ray decay through the stratosphere as part of the Canadian Space Agency and CNES program Stratos. We launched the prototype of our detector to the stratosphere on August 2019 and have been granted a spot for our experiment in the Hemera campaign in Summer 2021.As Deputy Manager, I was responsible for helping organize the workflow of the team and handling the budget and getting sponsorships. As Machine Learning Lead I was responsible for the processing of our data, implement an object detection model on it and creating a self-supervised model to categorize our data without the need for much labelling.I was also responsible for the design of the system to make our isopropyl alcohol environment fireproof.

Image Labelling Manager for the Crops Classification challenge for the United Nation's World Food Programme. The challenge is to predict where (geographically) specific crops (rice and wheat) are being grown in a current growing season using satellite imagery and deep learning. Responsible for organizing the labelling team and tasks as well as coordinating our work with the other teams.
