Served as an Aviation Structural Mechanic that supported 150+ employees and a Squadron of 4 Northrop Grumman E-2C Hawkeye 2000 at Carrier Airborne Early Warning Squadron 115 in Point Mugu, CA. As a Plane Captain, trained and supervised 10+ flight line employees that performed aircraft pre- and post-flight inspections, daily inspection checks, and maintenance to support the launch, recovery, and ground handling of aircraft. Assembled 4-cylinder and 6-cylinder inline Cummins engines at the Rocky Mount Engine Plant. Trained and certified on multiple stations in the assembly line, but mainly operated the Connection Rod Cracker that inserted top and bottom rod-end bearings and pistons.• Performed QA inspections on all rods and pistons before installation into the engine block, torqued piston caps down, and checked for stiffness; over tenure identified 150+ defective pistons that that saved Cummins over $500K in engine rework or replacement• Assembled 400 engines in 1 day that set a plant-wide manufacture record.
