My Role & Accomplishment: Formation of a not-for-Profit organization; nominated board members; event management and fundraising; searched for a rental (zoned) building; advertising and interviewing for recruiting school staff; wrote school’s business plan, school handbook, annual plan, and website content; developed a Tarbiyah-based school/education system, annual calendar and school time tables of all grades; wrote a detail-required qualification for the principal of an Islamic school, marketing/advertising/sale (admissions), maintaining, updating, improving school website, and school management system, liaising: parents, school staff, community, teachers (of other schools, including non-Muslims and retired teachers), principals (of other schools, both private and public, Muslims and Non-Muslims), city, and police, professional development and teachers’ training, organizing and leading the bi-weekly staff meetings, coordinated all school related meetings, activities and projects; supervising/monitoring classroom teachers as well as non-instructional staff; reviewing and editing of all the report cards prepared by the class teachers; supporting and managing the evaluation process; helping the administrative assistant to collect tuition and maintain records of tuition payments; publishing monthly e-newsletter; developed a quality school calendar covering all the months, contests, and school yearly plans; and organized high quality school trips and excursions that can cover both fun and education.
