James Graham was a senior technical consultant in the Applied Intelligence business of BAE Systems where he worked 2 and a half years on developing, piloting, and implementing SNA (Social Network Analytics) based fraud & financial crimes detection systems for a host of leading insurance and banking companies, as well as a large scale tax entity.The solutions James has been heavily involved in range from ‘Insider Fraud’, ‘Identity Theft’, ‘First Party Fraud’, ‘Second Party Fraud’ (closely related to victim), and ‘Third Party Fraud’, with some involvement in ‘Application Fraud’ as well.While these projects revolved around a base product/solution, each one required extensive custom ETL work and frequently the development of custom detection rules using primarily SAS and SQL, but occasionally Java, Python, and shell scripting as well.
