I grew up in a rural agricultural community in Saskatchewan. This meant that much of my time was spent working with heavy machinery, and farming with my dad. When I wasn't busy farming, I devoted my time to athletics and academia. I was pushed and motivated by my parents to strive for success, allowing me to become driven and develop a strong work ethic. Throughout primary school, I realized that rather than continuing to farm, I wanted to pursue a career in healthcare while maintaining my passion for athletics and personal wellness. This sparked my interest in the field of kinesiology a degree that would allow me to maintain my connection to sports and allow me to help others.As a driven and motivated individual, I have gained work experience through a variety of roles, such as lifeguarding, golf course labouring, farming, coaching, and strength training. From these experiences, I have been able to develop a strong work ethic and the ability to adapt to changing environments and diverse responsibilities.In addition to my professional experience, I am also proud to have been the recipient of the Governor General Award and to have been the valedictorian of my high school. These achievements reflect my commitment to excellence and dedication to success. I am confident that my work ethic, adaptability, and personal skills will make me an asset to any team.In the future, I plan on applying these goals and skills to actively seek ways to improve my health and athletic performance, while improving my knowledge on optimal training and recovery.
