▪ Lead significant and complex investigations covering a diverse area of federal securities laws: Insider Trading, Reg ATS, Reg SHO, Rule 15c3-5, Financial Reporting Fraud, Ponzi Schemes, Suitability, Failure to Supervise, Unregistered Broker-Dealer and Market Manipulation.▪ Collaborate with other Regional Offices and the Divisions of Trading and Markets, Investment Management and Corporate Finance to evaluate industry practices and determine appropriate remedies to be applied under the federal securities laws.▪ Coordinate with other federal and state agencies, including U.S. Attorney’s Offices, FBI, and IRS on parallel investigations of violations of federal securities laws resulting in more than a dozen criminal convictions related to violations of federal securities laws.▪ Participate with the Regional Director, Unit Chiefs and Division Director on the planning, investigation and litigation of enforcement matters.▪ Manage resources, supervise investigative strategies, approve prospective recommendations to the Commission, review Commission memoranda and court pleadings, and train staff attorneys.▪ Supervise the activities of staff members in connection with administrative proceedings before Administrative Law Judges, the Commission and in connection with actions in federal district court.▪ Perform the full range of supervisory duties, including evaluating employee performance; making recommendations for special assignments; hearing and resolving complaints; identifying development and training needs of employees; and other related supervisory tasks.▪ Represent the Commission in dealings with the public, the defense bar and the news media.
