Investigate accidents and incidents.Research and implement solutions to process irregularities.Recommend potential changes to policies and processes to management teams.

* Provide technical assistance and knowledge to line stations and flight crew.* Expedite acquisition of required replacement parts in the event of irregular operations or mechanical interruptions.* Arranging ferry authorization.* Maintain continuous liaison with flight dispatch office and provide current and continuous reports of general mechanical status of entire fleet.* Coordinate maintenance requirements during regular operations in an effort to minimize costs and disruptions.* Provide the Fleet/Line Maintenance Manager, Director of Maintenance, Director of Flight ops, and other designated personnel with a daily recap of flight delays or cancellations for mechanical reasons* Monitor, control, and ensure rectification of MEL item repair interval extensions in a timely manner and initiate MEL revisions, as required.* File Service Difficulty Reports to Transport Canada, as required.* Monitor and review aircraft log sheets for recurring defects and carry out further research and troubleshoot, as required.* Review, recommend, and initiate modifications for fleet standardization.* Monitor, review, and control maintenance actions to line aircraft and units removed for troubleshooting.* Identify, initiate, recommend, or provide solutions to quality problems through designated channels.* Provide technical support to outside customers as requested.

*Maintain aircraft to company and Transport Canada specifications.*Provide mentor-ship to 'learner' mechanics.*Ensure aircraft serviceability and 'on time' performance.*Ensure accuracy of aircraft technical records.*
