Jay Amado is opposed to using the third person to talk about himself on a fundamental level. However, his desire to fit in socially outweighs this.Currently, Jay is leading the Data & Analytics practice at Amplify Resources Group where his work focuses on operational efficiency and advanced analytics for fast-growing startups and Fortune 1000 companies. His background in both Big 3 and boutique consulting combined with his Big Tech experience gives him a unique skillset where he is able to approach business challenges from an external consultant point-of-view while still keeping organizational mission statements and stakeholder expectations top-of-mind. His specific areas of expertise exist at the crossroads of advanced analytics and People Operations, business intelligence, and in process/organizational assessment and restructuring.Jay is also the Director of Strategic Partnerships for The Gridiron Crew--a platform aimed at giving collegiate football players a chance to continue their professional football careers in leagues outside of the NFL.Before entering the workforce, he was the first student ever to receive a degree in Political Economy with a concentration in Behavioral Economics & Technology from the University of California, Berkeley where he graduated with honors and where specific areas of interest and research included psychology & economics, platform economy and economies of the future, decision-making, cognition and cognitive biases, and emerging markets and technologies. His studies culminated in a thesis on asymmetric information in the data economy. He also holds a minor in Journalism from Berkeley's Graduate School of Journalism.
