I was going to write some strange prose, in the third person, extolling the virtues of the marvelous "JAY ARTHUR" and how through years of purposeful and driven endeavor he has risen to the exalted heights he has, ... but honestly that is a bit rubbish and everyone else seems to be doing the same thing anyway and who do you believe,.... so what I will say is, during the circuitous route to 1st AD I have covered most other disciplines from Costumier to Video Editor, Director, Camera Operating, Theatre Lighting, Sound engineering, and Art Dept. I wanted to be a Vet, or a Victorian Poacher or even a Georgian Dandy, but I was born too late for one, when I stopped working at Morris Angels I couldn't get the clothes for the other and I'm still not sure why I'm not a Vet.
