Functional groups include Systems, Storage, Database, Automation, Data Center Operations, Print and Disaster Recovery Administration.Managed multiple Data Center renovation/modernization projects.Reduced staff through attrition by outsourcing print administration, consolidating tools, more pervasive automation and implementing better processes.Work closely with the project management office and business units to develop business requirements and prepare RFP’s. Director of the Administrative Data Center

Assumed management responsibility for the Technical Services group. This group of 12 staff consisted of MVS system programmers, ADABAS database administrators and VTAM/TCPIP Network specialists.

Promoted to manager of a (4) person group responsible for the automation software and the project to automate the UIS Data Center.

Gradually increasing responsibilities, breadth of assignments and challenges associated with the ongoing project to eliminate manual computer operator intervention of the UIS Computer Center.

Began the process of evaluating console automation software products to automate the manual intervention associated with the operations of the UIS Data Center.

Hired to develop and test Disaster Recovery plans for the Administrative Data Center. This involved meetings with IT and User Departments and coordinating periodic offsite DR tests with Com-Disco and IBM BRS Services. This assignment took one year.
