I am responsible for procurement of products for the Metals Business Unit. This includes, but not limited to, commodity items, as well as special fabrication parts. I also search for cost savings through various lines of vendors and pricing negotiations. I am accountable to maintain various inventory levels on multiple products using Oracle MRP System. I also responsible for negotiating lease and service contracts for all forklifts, pallet jacks, and special equipment for our Shawnee and Dallas locations. I possess excellent verbal and written communication skills with a professional and friendly demeanor.Warehouse/Logistics Supervisor-December 2005-December 2013While holding this supervisory position, I overseen the day-to-day operations for the Shipping/Receiving and Material Handling departments. I supervised 25+ employees, including maintaining all Kronos time. I was responsible for all daily production reports, which included tracking, maintaining, and improving production efficiencies. I coordinated all shipping orders and outbound freight including expedites and all domestic and international shipments. I was also responsible for all inbound freight, including initial inspection of freight and placing purchased product into warehouse or yard locations. I was also accountable for a multi-million dollar inventory, including all inventory transactions.
