In my career I have worked in both business and leisure class hotels and resorts in the US and Caribbean. I have worked for Marriott International and extensively in independent hotels. I founded Westport Hospitality, (named for the Island in Maine where I have a home), in 1998 in order to use the experience I had gained, primarily working with my mentor, Mike Dubroff in managing and developing new hotels. My first Hotel developed on my own account was TownePlace Suites by Marriott in Williston, VT with Mark Stebbins and Mark Schleicher. In 2003, I partnered with Chuck DesLauriers here in Burlington to develop the nine-story, completely custom, 161-guestroom Courtyard by Marriott Burlington Harbor.
