GLOBAL PROCUREMENT Entering the business during a phase of growth and just before a major rebrand, I was responsible for procuring all operational supplies by establishing relationships with a range of local and overseas suppliers. I played a major role in leading, designing and developing innovative packaging solutions that used biodegradable materials, contributing to a removal of single use plastics. I have been responsible for managing the ongoing just in time supply methodology across dozens of products and suppliers using forecast modelling tied to manufacturing lead times and sea / air shipment times.OPERATIONAL CAPACITY IMPROVEMENTIn preparation for the growth phase, I developed a phased plan for warehouse capacity expansion utilising vertical space optimisation analysis, forecast sales to inventory requirements and a model that adjusted monthly with actual growth figures. This effectively doubled the available space in the existing facility through optimised slotting and stowage.WMS SELECTION AND IMPLEMENTATION - ESTABLISHMENT OF LOCATION DRIVEN BARCODED WAREHOUSE OPERATIONSI identified a need for operations focused software to be developed or implemented to ensure the warehouse could keep up with inbound and outbound demand. After completing a needs / features comparative analysis across dozens of potential software solutions, I managed the implementation of the selected software with internal and external stakeholders.
