I hold degrees in philosophy, business strategy, and organizational systems. I spent 20 years in a variety of operational and HR leadership roles for large and medium-sized restaurant companies. In the late 1990’s, I left the hospitality industry to become a senior consultant with Interaction Associates. A couple of decades later, my business partner, Lisa Weaver and I started Unstuck Minds to help people in organizations think better and connect better. At Unstuck Minds, I conduct research and development and lead many of our client solutions. I’ve authored numerous articles and wrote a book called, “The Surprising Power of Not Knowing What to Do.” I blog about how our ideas relate to current events at unstuckminds.com/ideas.Unstuck Minds has become known for our proprietary concepts and tools such as, Attention Agility, Mental Quicksand, The SCAN Framework, and the SCAN Profile Assessment of Thinking-to-Action Styles.We teach our tools through our flagship training program called, Embracing Uncertainty. We also design and deliver client solutions in support of organizational strategy, systems transformation, problem-solving, and innovation.
