I started working for Bill Sick in 1991 at Ben Franklin in Towanda as a stock boy. Working for Bill was a life changing experience for me. I worked hard to not only do a good job, but to impress Bill and show him I had what it took to be a good employee. After graduating high school I took night classes at Lackawanna College while working full time at Ben Franklin. It was at this time I became very interested in the store and the general operations of the business. Shortly after completing my associates degree in business administration I was transferred to Hazleton to manage a Ben Franklin Crafts located in the Laurel Mall. In 2007 I was transferred to co-manage at a Ben Franklin Crafts in Milton, which was located in a plaza outside of town. In 2008 I was transferred back to Towanda to manage the Ben Franklin store I had started at in 1991. I took my years of experience from working in a mall, strip plaza, and a downtown setting and used those skills to change the image of the down town 5&10 to a leading business in the community. Either with the events for all ages to the merchandise mix of the store, to the layout, marketing, and over all appearance on the inside out.
