When Iomart Hosting took over Serverspace I assisted and managed the migration of equipment. My day to day main activities and responsibilities remain the same with these additions:- Working across 4 sites in London- Completed internal training with Fibre- Basic M&E checks- Experience with Deskpro & Iham- Training Iomart engineers on Serverspace equipment and proceduresProject Management Experience:During the takeover I assisted in managing the migration of 5 suites in 3 Data Centres. - Auditing 5 suites across 3 Data Centres of over 1000 devices- Preparing the new site for migration ( pre-cabling & labeling, allocating racks for customers/dedicated servers, colocation & firewall racks) - Pre- migration checks - Multiple 12 hour overnight moves- Managed & assisted the moving team - Racking and cabling migrated devices- Double checking cabling and ensuring devices were in the correct locations- Updating the database with new locations and uplinks from migrated equipment

Upon completing an apprenticeship I took the position of Junior Data Centre Engineer. Main activities and responsibilities:- Managing 3 sites across London- Supervise and provide technical assistance to customer and suppliers working within the Data Centre- Manage ticket queue (Kayako) and actions - Assemble and test server systems and networking hardware such as CPUS modules, chassis, motherboard units/power supplies and interface cards, HDD’s & RAM - Assist in operational running and maintaining standards of the Data Centre- Network, server and equipment installation - Provisioning and decommissioning - Asset auditing - Maintain various technical documents/ plans and schedules for clients and projects - Stock and delivery management - Fault finding / Troubleshooting
