Prior to joining Albemarle County Public Schools as a full time teacher in the fall of 2024, I worked as a substitute teacher at Albemarle County Public Schools, where I supported the learning and development of students from different backgrounds and levels. I have over 25 years of experience as an educator, ranging from a classroom teacher to a K-12 administrator, in various fields such as music, dance, chemistry, physics, biology, and theatre. I have also performed professionally as a dancer, choreographer, and singer in various venues and genres.I hold a Bachelor of Fine Arts in Dance, a Master of Science in Educational Administration and Supervision, and a Master of Education in Counseling Psychology. I am a Certified School Counselor and a National Certified Counselor, with a passion for helping students achieve their academic, personal, and career goals. I am also a Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion Specialist certified by the American School Counselor Association. I believe that children are the future, and I strive to create a positive and supportive environment for them to thrive and grow. I am actively seeking a full-time position as a school counselor, but I am also open to other opportunities that allow me to use my unique talents, skills, and knowledge to benefit the students and the school district.
