Responsible for efficient operation of the utility billing, business licensing, cashiering, cemetery, reception desk, false alarm and passport application programs.This position leads and directs 11 (FTE) staff members and reports directly to the Director of Finance & Administration.

· Managing the City’s Sewer, Stormwater, and Solid Waste utilities that serve 14,000 customers with a combined annual budget of $24 million. · Administered construction of over $30,000,000 in capital improvement projects. · Supervise City staff of 14 and the contract of consultant that employs 28 people who operated the City’s wastewater treatment plant and sewer and stormwater collection system. · Prepare annual budgets including long-term financial and capital improvement project planning · Member of the City’s Emergency Operations Center team. Trained in National Incident Management System (NIMS). · Administer the City’s contracts with Waste Management for solid waste and recycling collection and disposal totaling about $6 million annually, and the City’s sewer/stormwater operations contracts with CH2M Hill/OMI totaling about $5.5 million annually. · The City’s Sewer Utility team won the 2012 Domestic Wastewater Plant Operations Excellence Award from the Florida Dept. of Environmental Protection, and the Florida Water Environment Association Award for Operational Excellence.
