Working as a data migration analyst in a small team, transferring large quantities of data – several dozen extracts that combined millions of rows – from an existing Oracle HR database via an Extract-Transform-Load methodology into a new HR system to strict deadlines. The project then moved into archiving of all user data – another 100+ tables – from the Oracle HR database, which required Python development in order to handle the size of the extracts. Also responsible for BAU reporting on a weekly basis.

Responsible for upkeep and generation of numerous reports, as well as writing queries for and maintaining the integrity of the in-house sales and customer database to keep up with the rapidly changing requirements of a dynamic office environment running multiple strategic campaigns.

Worked as second-line support on a busy telephone service desk, assisting with enquiries as needed, while also providing training to and managing members of the desk. Utilised existing software to investigate and fix more technical issues and authored new batch scripts, documentation and tools, designed to simplify or automate tasks and to maximise service provision with available agents.

Worked on a voluntary basis as programme controller of a student radio station, required to create a schedule of shows and allocate presenters to these, and to field queries about appropriate show content. Exercised vigilance in monitoring and up-keeping quality of output, acting quickly to move those unsuitable for a slot to a more appropriate time and to adhere to Ofcom regulations. Contributed to PHP code for automated playlist generators to ensure constantly up-to-date output of ‘sustainer’ service.
