About Jay Guy
My name is Jay Guy and I am currently a Director at EY-Parthenon and graduated from Jones School of Business at Rice University for my MBA in 2022. Previously, I was a Vice President at Silicon Valley Bank on the Climate Technology & Sustainability team. My primary focus at SVB is negotiating and executing on creative debt solutions for new and existing customers to help scale their business. I graduated from the University of Nebraska-Lincoln with a degree in Business Administration and Business Management with an emphasis in entrepreneurship (including a minor in Sociology). I am originally a Houston, Texas native and previously worked as an Officer, Portfolio Manager at Cadence Bank. I was tasked with overseeing the distressed portfolio for C&I Texas. I also managed the Credit Training Program that taught fundamentals to next generation bankers. Prior to this role, I was a Credit Analyst at Cadence and developed an understanding of credit risk for the bank.Before banking, I worked as a Project Manager with Smart Matter. Smart Matter is an organization that consults with small to mid-size businesses to help them maximize their resources and focus on the things that "matter". We partnered with NMotion which is an accelerator that works with several entrepreneurs annually to help them develop their business ideas.
