Check out my Banking and Financial Institutions Law Blog:.https://www.gdblaw.com/blog?practiceID=4985.I have spent my entire legal career representing banks, securities firms and related companies such as mortgage bankers and investment advisers, providing a broad range of services varying from chartering new banks and public stock offerings for bank holding companies on one end to dealing with adverse regulatory examination results on the other end. I supervise an active practice representing banks in making commercial mortgage loans. I also have extensive experience in assisting clients in retail banking issues. Our firm has an additional focus on real estate matters and we represent over 200 condominium and cooperative buildings. I am a Past Chair of the Business Law Section of the New York State Bar Association. With over 4,300 section members, it is the second largest section of the Bar Association. I was also a member of the corporate track organizing committee of the Biennial New York/Ontario legal summit for 2014. In December 2013, I organized and moderated a webcast on the SEC's new crowdfunding regulatory proposal that was co-sponsored by the Business Law and International Sections of the Bar Association. Panelists included staff at the SEC and the Federal Reserve Bank of New York, as well as in house and outside experts in the field. The webcast of the event was viewed in 23 states, the District of Columbia, and six foreign countries.I have also recently lectured on ethical obligations of attorneys related to their escrow accounts at the Bar Association's annual programs on Starting Your Own Law Practice Bridging the Gap for newly admitted attorneys. I spoke at the American Bar Association annual Chicago conference of Business Law Leaders on innovating programs for attorneys. I also recently taught "Anatomy of a Residential Mortgage Loan" to newly admitted attorneys under the auspices of the New York State Bar Association.
