Assist in production of the weekly newspaper for Oconee County, Georgia using Macintosh software and Quark XPress. Responsible for taking, entering, and proofreading weekly legal and classified advertisements. Also prepare legal and classified pages to be sent to printer. Type obituaries and other sections for each week’s edition. Perform various clerical tasks as directed. Update Web site as needed. Also report on politics and local government meetings.

Assist the poll manager with operation of the polls on Election Days. Open and close electronic voting machines, answer voter questions, ensure election is conducted according to established rules and regulations.

Attended meetings, assisted election superintendent, certified election results and performed other duties necessary for the fair conduct of elections in Oconee County. Held the position until resigning to run for Watkinsville City Council.

Work mainly consisted of customer service in the print/copy department. Produced and reproduced documents based on specific customer instructions paying special attention to detail. Also assisted customers and other associates on the sales floor, ran cash register, as well as other duties as directed by manager or supervisor.

Assisted election superintendent with conduct of municipal elections. Held candidate qualifying, attended state-mandated classes for election superintendents.

Performed clerical tasks such as copying, filing and assembling packets for poll managers.
