About Jay Henningson

I am a BYU finance student pursuing a career in equity analysis and asset management. I fell in love with investing after reading "The Intelligent Investor" during my sophomore year of high school. I love asset management because the world is ever-changing and new investment opportunities are always on the horizon. I also cherish the fact that I can never know everything about investing and am constantly learning.I have seven years of personal investment experience and have obtained 30% annual returns over the last three years. I am also active in BYU's student-run hedge fund (Brigham Capital) and have completed FP&A internships with Nuskin Enterprises and Clyde Companies. Additionally, I have run my own online electronics business for five years.The above experiences have honed my skills in financial modeling, equity research, revenue forecasting, financial statement analysis, communication, industry reporting, presentation, report construction, and much more.Outside of finance, I enjoy snowboarding, reading, cycling, and spending time with family. I am also fluent in Spanish and love learning about my Nicaraguan heritage. I am a strong believer in the words of my mother, "Son las cosas difíciles que valen la pena" or "It's the things that are hard that are worth doing."
