I perform all the thankless tasks I took for granted as a child; cooking, cleaning, shopping, ad, nauseam. I also push, pull, carry, or drag a child around daily to a myriad of places to entertain, educate or exhaust depending on my mood. My skills also include diplomacy, tyranny, deceit and attrition.

Opened and operated a new and used retail music store, with an eclectic atmosphere, specializing in the rare and out of print, and niche-market recordings. Started with limited resources both financially and materially and rapidly expanded into a thriving operation. Oversaw most details of daily operation. Bookkeeping and database management were my core duties as partner; I was also involved with customer service, maintenance, inventory and a myriad of other duties. Selected , implemented and maintained a POS computer system with four work stations (complete with bar code scanners, receipt printers and integrated cash drawers) and accompanying network. Brought system online in existing business environment with minimal disruption. System was updated repeatedly as changes in technology and business demands allowed.Performed daily, weekly, monthly, and annual bookkeeping , recording and reconciliation duties.Used sales reporting and valued customer feedback to help identify sales trends and to optimize operations.Negotiated and structured the sale of my half of the business.
