Responsible for setup and maintenance of vendor records and raw materials in CICS. Negotiated YOY savings of over $3million in 2009. Cost savings and avoidance of $830K in 2010 and $1.4 million in cost savings and avoidance in 2011. 555 total items purchased from 81 vendors for a total spend of over $43 million in 2011.

Responsible for releasing 387 materials for plant production from SAP operating system, split between raw and pack. Responsible for buying starch, fruit juice, chemicals, and other miscellaneous materials.

*Responsible for 334 raw and packaging materials.*Released materials from contracts and purchase requisitions in SAP by creating POs.*Monitored plant and warehouse inventory levels to ensure proper levels were maintained.*Adjusted delivery dates for most effective utilizationof plant and warehouse storage space by maintaining constant contact with suppliers.*Lead bi-yearly inventories by assigning responsibilities and tasks. I originally started working for Brock Candy Co in 1993 as a floor trucker in Soft Candy. I progressed from that point to form & fill operator, then to team leader. I have worked in all areas of the plant, including soft candy, hard candy, chocolate, and maple nut goodies. I have a working knowledge of the processes and capabilities of soft candy moguls and kitchens, as well as tempering and panning chocolate. In the past, I have made hard candies such as peppermint pieces and candy canes both thru manual systems as well as Sucraliners.I was the Scheduling Point Person for the Empowered Team in Soft Candy where I was responsible for creating production schedules to meet ship dates and maintain target inventory levels at our DCs while operating within personnel, material, and equipment/process constraints. I was the Production Planning Superuser for our SAP transistion. In that role I was responsible for training supervisors and key personnel in the use of the Production Planning Module. I also created new methods of tracking inventory to facilitate the transistion to SAP.
