About Jay Hosford

The Database administrator field is currently full of opportunity. A database administrator should be a senior IT professional as the responsibility is great. A data loss is a resume initiating event. Being a database administrator is not an additional duty, it requires dedication and the ability to take charge of your data.I have been a Database administrator for over fourteen years. It is my true passion. I have no desire to change fields or do anything else in IT. I have gone all in by starting a graduate program at the University of Maryland University College that is strictly database focused in order to further my knowledge and learn about some of the newer technologies such as Big Data and NoSql in depth. I am very happy with my current employer but want to keep myself current and adaptable for any changes that may come my way.
