Performed various operations duties: coordinated production, assembly and inspection schedules for a diverse product line; assisted in defect analysis, both troubleshooting on the floor and basic statistical analysis; assisted molding floor manager in cell set-up and scheduling decisions; monitored inventory for product line and utilized IQMS to document all material transactions. Also took the lead as hiring manager for operators on all shifts, as well as screening and performing first interviews for technical and professional positions; developed and implemented training plans for quality and operations.

I scheduled daily production for all areas of the green sand foundry; allocated labor where it was needed; trained new employees; oversaw production; performed production tasks such as furnace-tending, metal pouring and mold production when necessary; addressed quality issues; inspected parts; performed basic tooling repairs and maintenance; completed employee performance reviews; monitored inventory for the foundry department with regard to MRO supplies; repaired furnaces; handled employee complaints/requests and performed numerous other minor duties when they were called for.
