I managed, owned and operated all aspects of a 160 seat national franchise restaurant. I developed the business plan to secure an SBA loan for the start-up business. I secured the first TOPH franchise awarded to a “new owner” in 10 years. I negotiated the lease for the business and supervised “build-out” construction of the facility. I then worked through all the start-up operational issues and set-up the restaurant for success. I then ran the operation for 5 years as the General Manager. I was responsible for the profit and loss bottom line in the operation of the restaurant. My duties included staffing, human relations, payroll, finance, inventory control, information systems, kitchen operations, front end operations, customer service, community relations, menu, advertising, marketing, facilities maintenance and regulatory compliance.

Logistics Manager, Southeastern United States | Union City, Georgia Managed and directed all logistics operations for the 10-state area encompassing the southeastern United States and including overseas shipments to South America, the Caribbean and Europe.  Planned and directed the assimilation of all Nestle pet food products into the Purina distribution chain. This increase doubled warehouse size to over 400,000 square feet in three facilities and personnel to over 100 FTEs. The assimilation was accomplished seamlessly, under budget and without any interruption in service.  Throughout a seven year period zero injury accidents in Logistics.

Logistics Manager, Northeastern United States | Dunkirk, New York  Managed and directed all logistics operations for the 15 state areas encompassing the northeastern United States and including overseas shipments to Europe and Mediterranean countries.  Executed a major manufacturing plant and distribution center closing and assimilated their service area. Chosen to represent manufacturing operations in multi-functional national team customer service initiative designed to completely reengineer customer interface. The first plant to design and complete a large and complex warehouse expansion, while concurrently reducing our overall cost during the year long construction. Implemented a warehouse management system rollout/integration employing “real time” RF scanning into daily operations without any interruptions in service.

Managed and directed all logistics operations for the seven-state area encompassing the south eastern United States. Led the Quality Assurance department to consistently superior performance and helped transition the work group to become a self-directed work team. Managed and directed all logistics operations for the seven-state area encompassing the southwestern United States. Led the logistics operation to the best cost performance of the 24 plants.Integral contributor in the manufacturing operation to become best of the 24 plants.Obtained funding for and installed over $3MM in facility upgrades.
