Gravitational Wave Astronomy Research Group InternUniversity Of Washington Bothell Sep 2023 - Jun 2024Bothell, Washington, United StatesWorking on research in the gravitational wave astronomy field - UW-Bothell's GWA Research Group covers several research endeavors of GWA, the main three research collaborations including LIGO (Laser Interferometer Gravitational-Wave Observatory), LISA (Laser Interferometer Space Antenna), & NANOGrav (North American Nanohertz Observatory for Gravitational Waves). I am working on refining skills and understanding of concepts by reading and taking notes on several recommended sources, learning to start working through physics worksheets involving gravitational wave concepts, how online gravitational wave simulations work and what observations can be made from real data/grading pulsar plots, and more, and aim to by the end of the school year, compile all that I learn into a podcast or slides I can use to share my gained knowledge with other aerospace enthusiasts. I'm looking forward to the time ahead and excited to have a great experience here and gain invaluable knowledge - grateful for the opportunity to learn amongst the passionate professors and students in this research group! -
