Being part of a small company, my role included various different tasks, including responsibility of the Gauteng based clients, managing the technical support team, pre-sales and sales of Business Process Management tools, marketing, client relationship management, contract negotiations, financial management, training and putting deployment teams together for BPM projects. In performing my job, I needed some knowledge of IT systems and deployment of Software solutions, Business Process Management and general business management.

Software Programmer at Software Futures from February 1999. I was involved in Proof of Concept (prototype) development of a software system for a financial institution. My next project involved developing reports according to client specifications for a different financial organisation as part of their Y2K project. I also performed as a Trainer on Report scripting for clients. Subsequently Software Futures was acquired by Computer Configurations Holdings Ltd (CCH), and I moved over to the Business Engineering department, where I became the Pre-sales Software Engineer, Technical Support and Trainer for ARIS, a Business Process Modelling tool, as well as Inquiry, a Knowledge Management Software tool. I was involved in supporting many different clients, in many different industries, including banking, manufacturing, utilities, mining, government, transport, retail and more. About a year later CCH was then acquired by MGX Holdings Ltd, where I was still involved in the Technical support of ARIS.

Delphi Software Programmer. I developed Short term insurance systems and then later Fresh produce stock handling systems. My tasks included: analysing the client specifications, developing the software, testing the software, fixing bugs and developing report scripts.
