It prevents the risk of over-purchasing or under-purchasing software licenses, both of which can lead to financial or compliance issues.3. Lifecycle Management: Tracking the lifecycle of each asset, from procurement through deployment, maintenance, and finally, disposal for make informed decisions on upgrading or retiring outdated equipment.4. Maintenance and Support: Scheduling regular maintenance for hardware to ensure optimal performance, and tracking warranties and support contracts to avoid unexpected downtime.5. Data Security and Compliance: Data security protocols, including encryption and data destruction policies. Proper inventory management for ensuring that devices are tracked throughout their lifecycle to reduce data security risks.6.
