JLM Law Group provided outside general counsel services for small and medium-sized businesses, helping clients with day-to-day needs. Additionally, JLM Law Group focused its practice on business transactions, entity formation and structuring, and commercial real estate, such as leasing, purchases and sales. JLM Law Group also advised on intellectual property matters, including trademark and copyright law.

At Kemp Klein, my practice focused on corporate and real estate transactions, as well as outside general counsel business matters.

As an associate attorney at Kuhn Rogers my practice focused on mergers and acquisitions, real property, and general business needs. I facilitated commercial real estate transactions, small business asset and interest transactions, entity formation and obtained several trademarks for clients. I also assisted with large asset and interest transactions, SEC filings, entity conversion, condominium association formation, and drafting various business contracts.My first summer of law school also I clerked for Kuhn Rogers from May to August of 2015. Among other areas, this position exposed me to mergers and acquisitions, intellectual property, real estate, environmental, and administrative law.

During my third year of law school I earned credit towards my JD as an extern with the Wisconsin DNR. My focus was on real estate issues, such as government easements, adverse possession, and zoning.

My last summer of law school I clerked for Garcia Law Group, which is a bilingual Spanish speaking civil litigation firm specializing in defense work. This position exposed me to various areas of litigation including medical malpractice, municipal, and personal injury.

As a second year law student I earned credit as a Judicial Intern in the chambers of Justice Rebecca G. Bradley. My primary responsibility was preparing objective memoranda regarding the Justice's cases. Additionally, I prepared commissioner recommendation summaries, attended oral argument, and checked spelling, grammar, citations, and cited caselaw within judicial opinions.

The Law & Entrepreneurship Clinic provides free legal services to nascent entrepreneurs and early stage companies. As a second year law student, the clinic allowed me to earn credit towards my JD while practicing under a supervising attorney pursuant to the Student Practice Rule of the Wisconsin Supreme Court. I conducted meetings, drafted and explained work product, and counseled clients. I also gained experience forming legal entities and advising on trademark and copyright law.

Legal Action of Wisconsin is a non-profit law firm servicing low-income individuals. I earned law school credit during my second year as an extern with their Migrant Project. I regularly traveled throughout rural Wisconsin to inform migrant workers of their rights in the US. This experience exposed me to employment and immigration law, and helped me improve my legal vocabulary in Spanish.

Plascon Group is a packaging manufacturer. Before moving to Wisconsin to begin law school, Plascon's CEO hired me to use my bilingual skills and knowledge of the US Commercial Service to expand Plascon's international client base.

The US Commercial Service is the trade promotion arm of the Department of Commerce’s International Trade Administration. After completing my BA, I interned with the Commercial Service Argentina, the trade office within the US Embassy in the country's capital city, Buenos Aires. This position helped developed my interest in business law, as I counseled US and Argentine clients on business laws in each country. I also learned about international trade and export promotion by conducting market research and participating in local trade shows.
