Box 988Lafayette, OR 97127(503) 730-8930jaylng3@AOL.com Key Skills, Abilities and Responsibilities• Operate the electric system in a manner which ensures safety, security, and reliability of same • Dispatch and direct operation of the bulk transmission/sub-transmission/distribution substations, lines and feeder control devices (500 Kv and below) • Issue clearances, holds, and assurances • Analyze system conditions and correct problems in normal and emergency conditions • Respond as necessary to implement load management, curtail interruptible customers, and initiate load shed • Knowledge of EMS/SCADA/DAS and CADOPS systems • Operate in accordance with NERC/WECC reliability standards • Record and maintain accurate reports, operating logs, and records • Update control center reference materials and operating displays • Direct timely and appropriate real time actions, including shedding of firm load, to prevent or alleviate operating transfer capability limit violations • Communicate clearly and concisely via company radio and telephone systems • Write/Review/Approve switching orders to ensure safe, reliable operation of the transmission/distribution systems • Maintain system voltage within prescribed limits • Constantly prioritize and reassess multi-tasking of multiple facets of the electric system operation parameters
