My current practice focuses on all areas of commercial real estate, including real estate investment management and real estate finance, representing investors, fund sponsors, REITs and investment banks in joint ventures, purchases and sales, equity and debt financings, recapitalizations, restructurings, and corporate governance matters. It also includes lobbying and pay-to-play compliance under the Investment Advisers Act of 1940.In my previous practice represented debtors, creditors, acquirers, and investors in complex Chapter 11 bankruptcy proceedings, as well as, in non-judicial debt restructurings, acquisitions, financings, and liquidations.My pro bono practice involves counseling non-profit organizations and start-up businesses, obtaining political asylum for indigent refugees, and providing bankruptcy counsel to low-income individuals.
