About Jay Macvean,

OnBase Installer and Support Professional since 1999 with OnBase 3.7. Currently the HELP Desk Manager and a Installer with Results Engineering. I also support AnyDoc, or other capture packages as they come up.I go back to Hardware support for Jukeboxes when the media was a 12" Optical Platters. Meaning, I go way back to when every decent interface was video or proprietary SCSI. I've been with small VAR's in the Imaging and EDM space since 1980's. I'd like to move up to larger responsibilites or work on new products within the EDM space.Specialties: Besines working with OnBase I'm also the "Scanner Guru". I probably know more about scanning and imaging than anybody I've ever met. I love to play with any demo model of scanner device or software that comes to the market and learn how to get the best viable images out of it. I'm also pretty keen on what I don't like about the models offered by Fujitsu, Bell and Howell, Panasonic, Kodak, and Ricoh. I've spent a lot of time getting used to VRS and AIPE which many people find to be a mystery.

    I work with all of the new installations and installers to collect the information needed to provide ongoing support to our customer base. Most of the day-to-day support funnels into my phone or email account. Traveling to new installations or performing updates/upgrades remotely is rather standard. Customer issues might range from problems with maintaining SQL, Cluster Solutions, End User product functionality, or adjusting scanning parameters and local desktop OS problems. It runs the gamut from soup to nuts, and back to nuts again. :-)
