As Senior Director, Event Technology (Sr DET I), I am spearheading the charge to achieve revenue and profitability milestones for the Hyatt Regency complex in downtown Seattle. Member of Village Theatre’s executive leadership team, managing six direct reports (Production department managers) and 15-20 dotted line responsibilities. Oversees design and execution; logistics, planning, scheduling, and administration; all production elements, including scenic, costumes, props, lighting, audio, video, and talent—for an average of 10 large scale shows per year. Vets and selects designers for individual show suitability. Negotiates and drafts contracts enumerating deadlines, deliverables, fees, and other parameters. Develops and manages $4.5M YoY production budgets. • Has successfully managed multi-million-dollar annual budgets for 15+ years, while driving timely production schedules and high production values. Noteworthy shows have included Les Misérables, Mary Poppins, My Fair Lady, Dreamgirls, and many others. • Developed first production of the critically acclaimed, fan favorite Million Dollar Quartet—that would graduate to a successful, multi-year run on Broadway. • Negotiated, administered, and managed end-to-end development lifecycles of 150+ yearly Union contracts with Actor’s Equity Association, IATSE, and American Federation of Musicians. • Established cogent systems and reporting mechanisms for all Production departments, including migration from manual to automated/digital processes—to ensure prudent fiscal maintenance and budgetary controls as the organization expanded and modernized. • Toggled organizational monetization and messaging strategy during Covid, helping conceptualize and drive digital content creation and implementation, and social media marketing to increase audience/member engagement and keep Village Theatre “top-of-mind”. This has included Zoom productions of one-off performances. • Ongoing engagement with theatre’s Health & Safety team in planning/preparing onsite operations for pending post-Covid reopening per state and union-mandated guidelines.

Mined and cultivated scores of existing industry relationships and pipelined new contacts to expand business opportunities and grow account footprint each year. Responsible for managing large lighting productions—all elements from event scoping, consultation, and design—to venue coordination, event production, post-production reviews; meticulous budget management to drive margins and profitability. • Managed aggressive RFP and project bidding processes to procure 20+ new lighting clients per year. • Hired and managed 100+ production crew for each production. Utilized AutoCAD for production conceptualization, planning, and design.

Essentially an operations management role. Managed team of six FTEs based in Seattle. Responsible for budget management, customer service delivery, and client relations. Backstory: Had opened the Seattle branch in original stint with the company (1997). Handled all logistics in moving rental and sales operations between Seattle and Portland headquarters. • Responsible for onsite load-in; set-up, operations, and “strike” of state-of-the-art lighting equipment and rigging –for 20+ high quality productions per year.• Recruited and hired 20 technical crew and operations staff per year. Managed $2M+ annual budgets.
