I was previously employed with the NZ Army as a Combat Engineer undertaking many trade courses aswell as promotional courses all the way up to the Section Commander level, I have background experience in the areas of Explosive Demolitions, Boat operation, Forestry work and Bridge Construction. I also have a competitive nature and a willingness to learn, I hope to use these previous experiences and skills to gain entry into the mining industry or gain a apprenticeship/traineeship role. Also in the last two years of my career in the NZ Army I was posted to the School of Military Engineering where I was an Instructor capable of compiling lesson plans and delivering these lessons to a class of 10-40 personnel in both a classroom and field environment aswell as testing/assessing soldiers performances and then monitoring and reporting students progress. In this role I learnt the importance of effective communication and to always be safety conscious from start-finish of all tasks.
