It all started out with a high school DJ system in rural Idaho... :)When I was young and invincible I spent a lot of time in live production and touring. Worked as a stagehand, rigger, audio engineer, and lighting designer / programmer for Ricks College, Idaho Falls Civic Auditorium, and the Colonial Theater. Spent some good times on the road traveling the intermountain region with Voltstar Productions.I was hired by BYU Idaho to work as the campus Lighting Designer / Programmer where I gained extensive experience in rigging, high voltage distro, dimming systems, architectural lighting control, networking, the programming of automated lighting, as well as lighting and production design. I directed a great crew of student technicians. I was with the University (full time) for five and a half years.In 2005, I was hired by Quantum Lighting Group to represent Electronic Theatre Controls in Utah. Through working with specifiers to develop systems for hundreds of churches, theaters, schools, and other venues, I learned the ropes of commercial construction. I also gained experience in high end-residential automation sales and programming (Vantage Controls, LiteTouch, Clipsal) I was hired by JRC Inc. in Salt Lake City to work as a lighting controls solutions specialist in 2011. I have designed and implemented hundreds of large-scale commercial, theatrical, and architectural lighting control systems over the years.
