I lead the team that oversees SEO strategy and success for Baylor Scott & White Health, including on-page, off-page, and technical SEO.I oversee local listings for thousands of physicians and locations across Texas while also providing targeted SEO optimization recommendations for the social media, consumer marketing, and traditional mass media teams.

I wore a number of hats in this role that included everything from strategizing site priorities and writing page content to interviewing physicians, editing photos, and managing SEO efforts.

I managed a creative team that included designers, writers, photographers, videographers, a social media expert, and a project manager.My core responsibilities involved providing creative direction across the entire department and maintaining our content marketing strategy that spanned print, Web, digital, and social media.I also managed blog.childrens.com, which grew by nearly a quarter million new users, increased nearly half a million page views, and almost doubled the average session duration since I took ownership of it.

I wrote for a number of clients both in the pharmaceutical and consumer goods categories, primarily for their websites but also for social media, videos, and apps. My responsibilities ranged from brainstorming and strategy to writing, reviewing, and editing.

I wrote stories for numerous online and offline publications. I interviewed everyone from doctors and nurses to volunteers and C-Suite executives for the stories.For a few months, I also served as the Executive Communications Writer responsible for speeches and other communications from our President and CEO.

I led a team of five writers and one studio engineer while still performing the duties of a Senior Writer at an independent location separate from the home office. I also served as the backup studio engineer recording and editing voice talents twice a week.We succeeded independently for five years in our offshoot Dallas branch, a claim none of the other teams who were separate from the home office could make, as they all closed within two years of acquisition. The office's work was absorbed into the home office within two months after I left.
