Position involved the installation, configuration, monitoring, tuning, backup and disaster recovery of all Microsoft SQL Server systems to meet SLAs, RPO, and RTO. This position also involves collaboration with warehousing teams to design and implement SQL Server based reporting platforms for the ambulatory EMR software. Work with application teams to facilitate new server installations along with changes to existing applications and their databases. Secondary tasks include NetApp SAN, VMWare, Hyper-V, Citrix, Exchange, Active Directory, Group Policy and File Share administration.

Position involved the architecting and implementation of all tables, indexes, constraints, triggers, stored procedures, and ETL processes. Secondary tasks included SSRS report design and creation, query tuning, and SQL Server monitoring. Position also involved working closely with development to assure changes to the database are both secure and efficient through peer code review.

Responsible for all internal reporting and numerous external reports created via SSRS, SSIS, or T-SQL. Position also involved deployment of software, configuration updates, server monitoring and troubleshooting, hardware upgrades, and occasional helpdesk work.

Individually responsible for developing a method of imaging the hospital's computers on wheels utilizing Imagex, HTAs, and VB scripting in the Win PE environment.
