About Jay Parton
Currently employed as an underground Utility Locator/ Field Technician with Earth Radar. This role encompasses detecting all underground utilities in accordance with the Australian Standards. Using a combination of Electro-magnetic induction and GPR technologies, I am a specialist in locating all underground services. I have just obtained my DBYD and Telstra accreditation following an intense theoretical and practical assessment. Further, I have been heavily involved in the development, testing, proving and reporting on three GPR prototypes created by Earth Radar. This has also involved multiple demonstrations and deployments to various firms and locations, plus the development of technical manuals, user guides and specification sheets for the Latro Utility and Pavement Scanning System, Sparas Full 3D GPR trailer and Pavescout Road scanning Systems. Working closely with construction firms in preparing sites for excavation and construction has been a great experience.
