I am an end-point driven scientist and enthusiastic team player that has a talent for taking projects from inception to completion with expediency and attention to detail. I possess extensive technical experience in molecular biology, microbiology, and biochemistry. I offer a comprehensive background in cell culture, recombinant protein work, and instrumentation. I maintain a highly self-directed and self-motivated atmosphere while striving to attain the highest results in all aspects of my work.As the researcher responsible for much of my labs collaborative work, I am very familiar with deadline driven projects. Working in an academic lab has given me the opportunity to hone my abilities at deadline based multi-tasking, as I often worked on many different projects concurrently. Due to the success of my project completion rate I was able to double my tenure over my initial contract period, and become a supporting author on many scientific papers. I maintained a cohesive partnership with collaborators and leadership to ensure timely submission of grants, driving profitable results across the lab and institution as a whole.I am a skilled lab manager with experience in materials management and procurement. I also have experience training, mentoring, and directing students and lab personnel in new techniques and instrumentation. I am highly effective at incorporating creative leadership skills with efficiency and the capacity to multi-task.In my lab management and leadership role I was the point of contact for procurement and distribution of supplies, reagents, and lab specific instrumentation. I was responsible for ensuring that all lab personnel were trained in the proper techniques used in the lab, and that they were initially trained and received re-evaluation, if necessary, on all local lab based instrumentation. I was the lab contact responsible for ensuring adherence of all laboratory environmental health and safety policies and procedures.
