For over 30 years, Jay Salkini has been a hands-on Chief Executive Officer (CEO) with expertise in business development, operations, and innovation in the wireless industry. In 1991, Jay founded Tecore Networks to fill what he saw as a niche in the wireless softswitching market. Since that day, the company has advanced to be one of the leading U.S.-Made manufacturers of multi-technology from early 1G to today’s 5G specializing in core and radio access network infrastructure. As one of the longest-serving CEOs in the industry, Jay has continued to research, educate, and focus on constantly innovating to meet and exceed the demand of one of the most rapidly changing industries in the world. As part of that journey, he parlayed his early experience accumulated through various positions at Siemens, Nortel; and Northrop Grumman to envision, develop and patent numerous wireless technologies that have been installed in mobile networks around the globe. Leading the company since inception, Jay has secured more than 25 patents for wireless solutions which have allowed Tecore to win various awards over the years, including three Global Mobile (GSMA) Awards for Best Roaming Product/Service Award, Best Radio Access Product/Service Award, and Best Technical Innovation Award.In recognition of the truly outstanding contributions made as an innovative leader of the worldwide wireless communications industry, Jay has been honored with various awards. Most notably, an Honorary Doctorate, Hall of Fame inductee and board member of the National Science Foundation (NSF) at his alma mater – Florida Atlantic University (FAU).
