Singapore

Relocated to Singapore for this role and managed the Asia Pacific Sales team, which consisted of 15 people located in India, China, Taiwan, Japan, and Singapore as well as a variety of local and multinational distributors in the same regions. Primary purpose for expat assignment was to harmonize as many aspects of APAC Sales as possible to our sales practices in the Americas. This involved harmonizing sales contracts, incentive plans, distribution strategies, and cross-regional sales coordination among others. Grew sales over 10% despite the extreme COVID-related downturn that occurred in some core markets. Coordinated and organized all aspects of the company's annual sales meetings in Thailand and Bali. Assessed impact and adjusted Sales strategy in response to China’s 25% tariff on US-made goods. Negotiated ethical deals in countries where unethical practices sometimes existed. Co-led the closure of our India facility and managed the customer transition to buy from other Positronic sites. Developed excellent working rapport with all members of the diverse Sales team as well as other functional groups within the Singapore office.
